A quick backstory of how I got into blogging:
Hi, my name is Sarah and I am the creator of No Going Back Now. I chose this name because of the drastic changes that have occurred in my life, and there is no way I could possibly go back to my old eccentric ways of partying and just being in the moment.
Not a CLUE to what I wanted to do with my life. Some people are just born knowing, but I did not. I have too many things that I love, so the hard part was trying to decide which direction to go.
Then I starting learning about blogs. I had no clue what a blog was even before last September. and since then I have been working hard every single day. There is so much to learn, but I feel completely engaged when I start to work, that is when I realized this was it.
This was a way that I can creatively express myself while helping others start their own business. The freedom to write about anything I want!
I knew there was no way I could go back to bartending 5 nights a week, going to work and having to act like I am 100% A-okay, loving life, and acting like nothing could be any better even if I was completely stressed out or suffering from a hangover. The only way you make GOOD money serving or bartending, is pretending life is good, even when it's not…so I got really good at that.
Honestly I would not be the person I am today without the 15 years of experiences, but I finally got to a point that I was on verge of a pure breakdown. Mentally, physically, and everything in between. Not to say it wasn't self induced because I drank every single night, and not to say it was because I have been on anti anxiety/depression medication since I was a teenager. but also because I had feigned every single emotion that I had for other people, then had nothing left for myself when things went down in my own private life.
I desperately needed that bank of emotions…every time something little happened I felt like it was the END OF THE WORLD…but I realized that it is because I was so tired of having to emotionally exert myself every single day I was at work…every time someone got bitchy about their check or food, I had to act like I cared.
If anyone has seen “Waiting”, I was totally the short girl that would act like everything was fine until I went to the kitchen and then cuss words would be the only way I felt any relief. But I had to, to keep my sanity.
Anyway, this is why I want to reach out and help others that are in my position because I hear you loud and clear, and there actually IS a way out. With the money I made I thought I would never get out but I am telling you now, it's possible.
There are a few books you MUST read if you still do not believe me, but I will share with you the exact information in the order that I found it myself.
As long as you have the motivation and desire to change your life, transformation is possible. Since doing so with the least amount of mistakes possible is the most desirable route, I suggest taking as many courses and reading books and truly investing in yourself so you can learn from other people's mistakes.
I will help you get your “license” so you can drive the vehicle of success I will provide you. Such a cheesy way to say that, I know, but it makes what I am trying to say more clear.
There is no blaming me if you do not follow through, there is not blaming ANYONE…but yourself. The best lesson I have learned so far through all of my inspiring readings is that one should not ask for less problems, but should acquire more skills.
Life cannot be predicted so the only thing you can control is the amount and variation of skills that you learn and apply to make your life go a bit smoother.
If you are thinking, “I just won't make the cash money that I am used to with the service industry”, I thought the same thing, but that is absolutely wrong! It will take some hard work and a little time to get there, but you can do it.
If you keep telling yourself you don't have time, then you are never going to have time. You have to make it a priority, even if you are only doing baby steps, you are one step closer to your goal.
The “I don't have time” shit drives me crazy, I even still catch myself saying it sometimes and as soon as the words leave my lips I realize it's bullshit.
I will list the books I have been reading and the steps that I followed to set me on my entrepreneurship adventure, but here is THE IDEA that really got me thinking in this direction…machines are starting to take over. Straight up.
I went to an Olive Garden and my family had to order through a touch screen, and then people would just deliver what you ordered. Which probably sounds great on both ends (as a worker AND a customer) at first, but then I started thinking about how many jobs are going to be lost in the oblivion.
There is talk about driver-less cars…just one more category of jobs that are going to be taken over by technology. SOOOOOO, all I'm saying is, if you want no surprises, and to able to feel SECURE in your finances, and especially your (and your family's) financial future, I have the vehicle for you to get there. You only need the desire and motivation.
The reason I reach out is because I felt so trapped for so long, and looked at people that are successful and realized that they are not crazy intelligent…but are actually GENIUS in the way they have marketed their product or talents.
My family thinks that working at a job with insurance and a mediocre salary will get you through life.
But, I CANNOT, and will not do that. I know for a fact that my time and energy and ideas are worth more than that.
It is going to take a little time to get there, but I look forward to being able to retire at a very young age.
So, I wanna reach out to those that have been BUSTING their arses, and want a life-makeover.
PLEASE let me guide the way. No more dreading your day…or week…or entire being! With thoughts like, “Is this it?” or “there has to be more!”
You just have to take matters into your own hands…and believe me I understand that you have bills and a family to take care of, so you can't take any chances!!!
Good news is that these things are part time, you can go as fast or slow as you want, and can work the job you have now while working on your dream life.
The end result (IF YOU STICK WITH IT) will be you being able to spend time with WHO you want, WHEN you want, and ultimately living life on your own terms.
My specialties are:
- Fun and exciting ways to work right from home
- Starting your own blog/website
- Network Marketing help(for any company)
- Money savers-Frugal finds(from budgeting to deal finders)
- Resources for fundraising and ways to help those in need
At first it is all about learning about the products and different sides of the business, BUT THEN, it is about helping others and training them to create the same success that you have.
Either way I hope that I can help you because I know the ropes…and any Network Marketing has the same ultimate strategies, but I will help you really implement your ideas and your WHY you are doing it.
Your WHY has to be good because the job is simple, but not easy. It is totally a game of statistics so you gotta embrace every single “no”, and learn from every single situation. This is why your why has to be your drive, because it is going to get hard, but you have to believe that you can do it, and just KEEP GOING and remember why you are doing it…to change your life (and the people around you!).
I want to support people that have a similar vision that I do. If you are like I WAS a year ago, I was looking for a post like this because I knew I wanted a better life, I knew I could make it better…but I also knew I had to BE BETTER.
That is where my research and trial and error began. I had no idea what a blog was or that you could make a full time income with one about a year ago.
In less than one year I have realized a ton of other possibilities, and I want to save as many people the time and aggravation of some of the rookie errors that can be prevented.
The thing I love about the blogging community is that we all support each other, so I want you to feel comfortable to ask questions, and together we can figure it out.
I love learning something new, and I do every single day, and I do not see that stopping. I will be your support as others have done for me. I will talk about my mistakes so you can hopefully avoid making the same ones.
Since we are “friendsies” now, here are some fun facts about me besides business stuff:
- My favorite two animals are horses and dogs. I could not be without either of them.
- Being tired is my most un-favorite feeling in the world, so I am constantly overindulging in coffee, tea, and anything with caffeine:) …and it explains why I loved to party party back in the day…
- Painting, making jewelry, and making quilts are my favorite art crafts.
- Sometimes I have to vent, as we all do, but I try to really be the observer of my feelings to stay balanced and choose to see the positive side of things…a work in progress.
- I love rain…I always feel more alive, more creative, and just more relaxed. My beagle completely disagrees:)
Just remember, you can work PART TIME doing these things, so that one day you can walk out one day, Jerry Mcguire style:):)
Please message me with any questions, ideas, or additional ways to get THE FUCK OUTTA THE SERVING INDUSTRY.
