What are Essential Oils?
Essential oils are basically a concentrated oil of a specific plant or herb. It is considered essential in a way that means it contains the essence of the plant’s fragrance. There are different ways to create essential oils. A lot of the time they are created from steam distillation. Other ways can be from cold press, oil extraction, resin tapping, and more.
Essential oils can be used in numerous ways like scents in candles, cleaning products, roll on fragrance, cosmetics, and, incense. There are more, but these seem to be the most safe commonly used ways in society.
Essential oils have always been a vital component in my life. Plants and herbs can be incredibly nurturing for your physical and mental health once you learn how they can be used.
Aromatherapy is the way that I use my essential oils the most. I have a home diffuser that I run as often as possible and it helps me and my daughter have a more sound night of sleep.
In my car I have a plug-in diffuser that I can just add a few drops of oil on the felt insert, and the piece heats up and diffuses amazing scents in the car. There are nice diffusers that you can take with you anywhere you go. These are AWESOME.
Each plant and herb has its own healing elements, and it is really fun to learn about all of these natural secrets that we all have at our fingertips!
