Everything Blick Art Can Supply For You (as an artist or an educator)
But first, a quick history-
Dick Blick Art’s first catalogue was printed in 1911 and the company itself was founded by Mr. and Mrs. Dick Blick. They began their business from home and their original “warehouse” was their kitchen. Their original “shipping center” was their local Post Office.
Needless to say they have made quite a name for themselves. After Metzenberg later purchased the company from the founders (37 years later) because he liked serving and supporting artists (even though he was not one), the company quickly grew into the triple digits. He saw the great business potential and had an eye for quality art supplies.

Fun trivia fact: their first item that was most popular was a lettering pen.
This company is still considered a family-owned business and caters to artists, students, and teachers. Supplying them with premier art supplies is only the tip of the iceberg. They offer artist and educator’s catalogues, hundreds of printable lesson plans for teachers, product videos for artists which helps make educated decisions on which items to purchase for which projects.
